After 50 Years Apart, Single Couple Remarries in Mental Ceremony: ‘I Shed a number of Tears’

In 1968, Harold and Lillian Holland divide after more than a decade of matrimony. Having committed young, the pair says they were also immature to get the institute to last – however feelings for every other under no circumstances went away.

The couple manufactured headlines a month ago when information of their then-impending nuptials earliest broke. That they originally committed in 1955 after assembly at a restaurant in Salt Lick, and had five children -Miriam, Timothy, Mark, Laura and Larry -before divorcing in 1968.

“That divorce was all my mistake, ” Harold admits. “But she explained, “I forgave you a long time ago. ‘ We have married young and I functioned a lot. The girl stayed home with our five kids and I never been told her object not one amount of time in my life. Right now we’re a lot older and don’t know how long it’s will be, but all of us said there were walk the final mile together. ”

The Hollands went their separate ways and in addition they remarried, but both the spouses perished in 2015.

“We were both lonesome and unhappy and when the kids went to me I would ask about him, ” Lillian says. “Whenever they frequented him, that they had ask about me. There was nonetheless loving and caring there. ”
